Two exclusive country houses hidden in the heart of Central Alentejo, where time is lived without haste. Less than two hours from Lisbon, on the slopes of the Serra d'Ossa, between Estremoz and Borba, find your refuge in a setting where the protective silence of the montado, the beauty of the vineyards and the gentle company of our animals create an atmosphere of absolute peace.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The house will usually be ready (tidied and cleaned) from 4pm. However, guests can arrive at the Herdade earlier and enjoy the available facilities: bicycles, pool, games room, canoes, archery and driving range. Once the house is ready, a notice will be sent, and guests will be able to move in right away.
Check-out must be done by 11am. However, although leaving the house must respect this schedule (to allow time to prepare it), guests may remain at the Herdade and continue enjoying the facilities. Whenever there are no check-ins on the same day, it may be possible to leave later, subject to prior confirmation (though not guaranteed).
In the house, you will find coffee, tea, homemade jam (made at the Herdade), honey (from a local beekeeper), eggs from our hens, sugar, salt and olive oil available. We deliver an Alentejo bread daily — guests just need to confirm whether they want to receive it, to avoid waste. It is also possible to order more bread, sheep's or goat's cheese, and collect more eggs directly from the henhouse. Instructions on how to place an order, as well as prices, are posted in the kitchen or can be found in our guide.
The pool is shared among the guests staying at Herdade do Burrazeiro. It is not for the exclusive use of either house.
The pool is located about 300 meters from Casa da Alcaria and 125m from Casa de Cima.
Pets are generally not allowed. However, in special cases, we may make exceptions — as long as the animals are vaccinated, well-behaved, and do not disturb the Herdade's animals. Requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and require a commitment from guests.
